Farmar has extensive experience in emergency towing and salvage operations in the waters off the Norwegian coast, and has participated in numerous operations.
The most notable of recent casualties was the immobilized LPG carrier CRYSTAL LAVENDER which FFS salved intact, close to shore, in storm force weather and took to a port of refuge in February 2020 under a Lloyd’s Open Form.

FFS’ salvage and wreck removal equipment is stored at our extensive warehouse facilities. It is maintained by our in-house engineers to standards expected of a professional salvor. FFS tugs are all approved for towing, guard and standby operations and regularly verified by all major 3 party companies like DNV, LOC, GM, Voghtschmidt etc.
