There was a strong wind when the boat went around Håøyrenna on the approach to Farsund just before 11 o'clock on Wednesday morning. Nine people ended up in the water, six of them children.

The lifeboat was quickly in place and picked up the crew, who were on a sailing trip in connection with Maritime Days which are being organized in Farsund this week. All nine came out of the accident unharmed.

"THE TEST", which is a replica of an old listing boat built in 1991, was partially submerged and had to be towed to shore.

- We were asked to assist, and were on standby during the towing. The fire brigade and the organizer themselves did a great job with towing and securing, says Stian Lervik, skipper on board FFS Amon.

THE ORGANIZER of Maritime Dager in Farsund was very relieved that none of the nine on board were injured.

- We are very happy that it went so well. The three adults who were on board the boat with the children are experienced sailors, says media officer Bård Reymert Håberg to the local newspaper Lister24.

HOW BIG damage "Prøven" has suffered as a result of the coal sailing is currently unknown.

Liste boats were developed in the first decades after 1830, and were used for drift net fishing for mackerel off the coast of Lista.
