23 March 2023
Every Saturday, a tugboat from FFS lines up outside Egersund to help JSP Sleipner in and out of Sørgapet - as the fjord outside the town is called.

- The assignment has lasted since the beginning of February. The pilots require assistance from a tugboat for the container ship on this stretch, says Leif Steinar Simonsen.
FFS Atlas, FFS Athos and FFS Amaranth have up until now switched missions. How long the Saturday job will last is currently uncertain.
- We expect that the ship will soon be able to enter the fjord without assistance, but have not received any signals as to when that will happen, says Simonsen.
JSP Sleipner carries the flag of Antigua and Barbuda, a small island nation between the eastern part of the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. The ship is 139 meters long, 23 meters wide and can take a load of up to 9,981 tonnes
