- "Absolutely brilliant, both professionally and socially," concludes Andreas Gabrielsen, who works as chief mate on board Farmar Athos.

- "Very useful. Especially the lecture from the Norwegian Coastal Administration, which among other things gave us information about the digital route service," says Stian Lervik, substitute skipper on the same boat.

THE SHIPPING CONFERENCE takes place over two days. The officers of all Farmar's vessels and the company's administration on land meet here. The gathering is packed with professional elements, but is also intended to be a social arena.

- In the past, most of our skippers and helmsmen were local. As a result, they often dropped by the office when they weren't at sea. Now that doesn't happen as often, as Farmar's officers live all over the country. This makes it even more important to create good meeting places like this one," says John W. Nilsen, CEO of Farmar.

IN ADDITION TO In addition to receiving professional input from external speakers, the conference is used for fruitful strategy discussions.

- "We have good exchanges of views between sea and land. It's important to talk about what expectations we have of each other," says Nilsen.

THE CONFERENCE is placed in the transition between two shifts. As a result, Farmar was able to muster almost all hands on deck.

- "We have a total of 14 officers on board the boats. Of these, only three were missing from the conference. In addition, there were a few of us from the shipping company management on land. So it turned out really well," says Nilsen.
